Phenol and its derivatives are the most abundant organic contaminants in coking wastewater with high toxicity, carcinogenicity and mutagenesis, which often inhibit or kill the microorganisms in biological reactors. Therefore, it is necessary to screen a high-efficient phenol-degrading strain for improving degradation efficiency of phenol.
