In the three years since 9/11, the country has rallied both to understand the nature of our vulnerabilities and to limit our exposure to risk at home and abroad. While much of this has been government-focused, of equal importance has been the mobilization of the private sector. In addition to their traditional responsibilities to shareholders, companies are hard at work protecting their assets, customers, employees and even their communities from danger.
