Vibrant colors, big muscles, stirring slogans-it's propaganda art at its best. Now, for the first time, the U.S. public can see some of the same posters that daily reassure North Koreans they are doing fine and it's the rest of the world that is evil and benighted. Plans are afoot for an exhibition of state-commissioned art from the hermit kingdom to open in New York City before the end of summer. Many of the same images can also be seen in a book published in May by Prestel USA, North Korean Posters: The David Heather Collection, by historian Koen De Ceuster.
