摘要

The bagels are toasty. The fried eggs are delicious. For $190 a night the location is "amazing." Brian Chesky wouldn't change anything about his stay at Kelsey Lowitz's apartment, steps away from San Francisco's touristy Alamo Square. His big suggestion: Add more photos of the place to her online rental listing. For the past five months Chesky has been living primarily in strangers' homes listed for rent on the site he runs, Airbnb. Its customers have posted more than 50,000 places, and their range is shocking: from $10 a night for a futon in Brooklyn to $5,000 a night for a 6,500-square-foot modern vacation manse in Squaw Valley, Calif. Chesky takes his toothbrush with him proudly. "You have to become the person you are designing for," says Chesky.
