摘要

Bank of America could survive WikiLeaks, but it will not survive mortgage buybacks [repurchasing problematic loans from other institutions]-this is where the real investor fear has come from. Right now the correct option is to short and reevaluate your options after Wiki dumps the info and the extent of the damage is revealed. lf Wiki has old countrywide e-mails, Bank of America is going to be screwed. The institutions or individuals asking to return the loans are having a difficult time proving to the courts they were misled about the loans. Bof A has won at least two cases related to mortgage buybacks. This isn't to say banks will pay nothing on mortgage buybacks, but it won't be an easy or sweeping win for plaintiffs.
