PU viscoelastic memory foam for application as cushion insole/insock in shoes

摘要

PU foam was prepared using standard polyols and diiso-cyanates which are used by industries to prepare memory foam mattresses. The additives were used in low quantity. Types of foams (Sample 1 to 10) with varying density and cushionability were developed by varying the concentration of polyol and isocyanate. Though viscoelas-tic PU foams are available as cushion insoles, the newly developed PU memory foam insoles/insocks were found to have better properties which made them suitable for application as permanent cushion inserts in all types of shoes.
