Forrest gump said, "life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get." When he made his sage observation, I'm not sure if he was referring to the possibility of bloom. Nonetheless, as any chocolate lover will testify, when you open that box of chocolates or unwrap that candy bar, there is always a possibility that you may find chocolate with what looks like a grayish-white haze on it. Although that haze is harmless, it can be mistaken for mold...and that, of course, is one of life's surprises that a chocolate lover can do without.
