Vermont foodservice director wins major humanitarian award

The foodservice director for the St. Johnsbury School here was recently recognized by a statewide humanitarian organization for her work both in providing nutritious breakfast and lunch for St. Johnsbury School students and also her outstanding volunteer work in feeding the community. Carol Brill, 58, became the first school food-service director to win the Marianne Metropoulos Humanitarian Award, given annually by the Vermont Campaign to End Childhood Hunger.
