One price of being the editor of a respected trade publication is the demands that are placed on your time to attend conferences and speak at events. I say yes as often as I can, which can lead to very busy travel sched-rnules and the fervent wish that I could cut back, even if just a little.rnBut in the aftermath of my travels, I often find that despite the exhaustion is the thought that in the end, attending was very valuable. The contacts made, story ideas generated and the goodwill engendered made it worthwhile.
