Administrators have been appointed to a ￡29m-turnover Yorkshire slaughterhouse business which hit the headlines earlier this year after secret footage revealed alleged animal cruelty. Kevin Murphy, John Titley and Philip Deyes of Leonard Curtis Recovery were appointed as joint administrators of Bowood Farms Ltd, trading as Bowood Yorkshire Lamb, on 5 August 2015. In its latest filed accounts, for the year to 31 October 2013, Bowood describes its principal activities as sheep and crop farming, as well as the running of an abattoir in North Yorkshire.
