Poundstretcher fined for 'unsafe' snacks without proper allergy labelling

National discount retailer Poundstretcher has been fined after an investigation in Swansea found some of the foodon its shelves was not properly labelled to warn customers of possible allergens.A range of snacks and biscuits imported and sold by the company was found to have inadequate or missing labellingmaking clear they contained ingredients including wheat, eggs, and milk. It was also found that “butter crunchcookies” actually contained palm oil instead.
