Control and monitor via remote access

Siemens Industry Automation & Drive Technologies has extended its remote access range with two new modules and Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) routers. The new modules TIM 3V-IE DNP3 and TIM 4R-IE DNP3 enable the monitoring and control of the Simatic S7-300 and S7-400 controller series over different communication networks, such as the mobile one. The modules support the open DNP3 protocol, for communication with the control centre.
