The environmental management priorities of UK food manufacturers have changed over the past year, according to Food Manufacture's annual 'state-of-the-industry' survey. Respondents to the survey (see p18 for the full results) reported that greater attention was being paid to reducing the environmental impact of products across the whole supply chain or'lifecycle'than last year. Around 73% of respondents claimed they agreed or strongly agreed with the statement that their companies were working in this area, compared with 62% last year.
