摘要

Brand owners interested in testing the recyclability of their plastic bottle packaging now have access to a specialized service available from the Association of Postconsumer Plastics Recyclers (APR). Called "Champions for Change," the program invites consumer product companies, technology companies, suppliers, converters and others to test new bottle compositions directly with commercial plastic bottle recyclers while the bottle is still in the design stage. "We introduced this co-operative initiative as a response to the increasing number of bottle compositions, attachments and labelling options being introduced to the consumer market," explains Robin Cotchan, APR director. "Champions of Change gives both parties an opportunity to evaluate the recyclability of the bottle to ensure that it remains a valuable resource that can be remanufactured into another useful product."
