摘要

A major component of the work of the Food and Environmental Protection subprogramme, and the Agro-chemicals Unit in particular, for a number of years has been training of Member State scientists, technicians and food safety regulators, mainly from developing countries, on various topics to assist in the implementation of holistic farm-to-fork food safety systems. The training is focused primarily on the application of nuclear and related techniques to detect and control chemical contaminants such as veterinary drug residues, endocrine disrupters, mycotoxins and pesticides in food.
