The environmental and economic benefits of refillable beverage containers

This article reviews a report that was recently published in the USA. The publication examines the potential environmental and economic benefits that may result from the greater use of refillable beverage containers. It also covers the policies in place in a number of countries worldwide that affect the prevalence and success of refillable containers, and concludes with a suggestion of policy options to promote the use of such containers in the USA.
