Enjoy Life Foods unveils allergy-friendly protein bites

Enjoy Life Foods, a business unit of Mondelez International, is launching ProBurst Bites, a line of plant-based protein snacks in four varieties: cinnamon spice chocolate, cranberry pomegranate, mango habanero, and cocoa and roasted sunflower seed butter. With at least 6 grams of protein per serving, ProBurst Bites feature a crunchy blend of seeds and spices with a creamy chocolate center. All Enjoy Life Foods products are free of the eight most common allergens. "The free-from category is something that's only come to the forefront in recent years, and as is the case for all consumers, the needs of the free-from community go beyond that of just traditional snacks," said Joel Warady, chief sales and marketing officer at Enjoy Life Foods. "We've found that clean protein is one area that all people are trying to get more of in their daily diets, and we believe we've truly hit on something special with our new high-protein snacks. Our conveniently packaged truffle-like bursts offer a healthy, totally free-from and truly decadent treat that can be eaten completely worry free - all made in a dedicated gluten-free, nut-free facility." The products will be available at retailers nationwide this summer for a suggested retail price of $6.99.
