This year's Guild of Aviation Artists Paintings of the Year exhibition at London's Mall Galleries, close to Admiralty Arch, was the largest yet. This is proof positive that interest in aviation art is growing and perhaps also, that in a credit-crunched world, it's best to forget the unrepentant banks and invest in something that also gives great pleasure!rnFrom July 20 for a week, the public could feast on no less that 407 of the finest aviation treasures, all original, and the vast majority for sale. Prices ranged from £130 for a watercolour to £10,000-plus for an oil from a 'master'.
