Consolidated PBY-6A Catalina VH-EAX has been acquired by the Oantas Founders Museum and is being ferried from Madrid, Spain, to Longreach, Queensland, Australia.rnThe airframe has been extensively serviced for the trip, which started on October 5 and is expected to take around three weeks. This type of aircraft is highlyrnsignificant to Oantas, as it flew Catalinas in perilous conditions between Perth and Colombo (Sri Lanka) during World War Two.
