Veteran Focke-Wulf will fly

An original Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-5, 0151227, found in a Russian forest in the late 1980s, is poised to make its first test flights more than 65 years after it was lost in combat on the Eastern Front. The fighter, civil registered N19027, was serving with JG54 near Leningrad, Russia, in the summer of 1943. While attacking trains in a Russian-held corridor east of the city, it encountered engine difficulties and made an emergency landing.
