Honour for Triplane builders

The team that built a replica of the 1909 Avro Triplane at the Museum of Science and Industry, Manchester, has been awarded the 2009 Desmond Penrose Trophy for the Vintage Aircraft of the Year.rnThe four-year Triplane project was undertaken by the Roe Heritage Group, comprised of former employees from the Avro factory at Woodford.
