Saga of a 'Super Spad'

By their very nature, most surviving airworthy former military aircraft have long and interesting careers, but few have combat histories. Some owners have ascribed illustrious World War Two operational pedigrees to machines that never participated in that conflict. This practise has perhaps overshadowed genuine warriors that have fought long and hard in other actions. One of those is a Douglas Skyraider that became a refugee.
