Curtiss P-40C on its way to Duxford

The Fighter Collection's latest acquisition made its first post-restoration flight at Chino Airport, California, on August 5. The Curtiss P-40C has been magnificently restored by Matt Nightingale, who had previously worked on the Duxford, Cambs-based operator's P-40B Warhawk 41-3297. When its test flight programme has been completed, the fighter will be disassembled and shipped to Duxford, from where it is expected to fly at airshows both in the UK and overseas next year.
