'Flying Razor' for Virginia Beach

Jerry Yagen's Military Aircraft Museum has added another World War One type to the ever-growing collection at Virginia Beach, USA. Fokker D.VIII replica N8105D was built by Andy Parks and the team at the Vintage Aero Flying Museum near Denver, Colorado, making its first flight in 2008. Powered by a 220hp(164kW) Continental radial, it is finished in the markings of Oberleutenant Gutthard Schsenberg, who achieved 31 victories. Known to Allied pilots as the 'Flying Razor', the parasol-winged D.Ⅷ came into service towards the end of the war; 85 examples reaching frontline units before the Armistice.
