At Wangaratta in Australia, Precision Aerospace is nearing the end of an exacting restoration of Douglas A-20G Havoc 43-9436 Big Nig. This came down in the jungles of New Guinea on May 3,1944 and was salvaged by a huge Russian Mi-26 helicopter in October 1994. All being well, it will be delivered to the RAF Museum this year, filling a long-held gap in the collection.
