Lynx.bows out in the Netherlands

The Royal Netherlands Navy has retired the last of its Westland Lynx helicopters after 36 years of service. The oldest example still in service, SH-14D 261, was painted in a special livery for its final few flights. The helicopters have been replaced by the new NHIndustries NH90. Most of the Lynx fleet will be scrapped after any usable parts have been removed. It is expected that some will remain in use for technical instruction, while at least two have been earmarked for preservation.
