Paying tribute to the many - remembering D-Day

On and around June 6, 2014, sever events were held in the UK and France to commemorate the 70th anniversary of D-Day. In what may well be the last significant gathering of Normandy veterans, many who participated in the landings - most of whom are now in their 90s - travelled to France to attend memorial ceremonies. Barack Obama, Vladimir Putin and members of the British Royal Family were among the many dignitaries in attendance.
