New displays at Woodford as Vulcan XM603 is refurbished

Two new exhibits have been put on display at the Avro Heritage Museum in Woodford, Cheshire. The forward sections of Vickers VC-10 C1K XV106 and Hawker Siddeley Nimrod MR.2 XV235 both arrived in September, the former from Bruntingthorpe and the latter from Scampton. In addition, Avro Vulcan B.2 XM603 is being repainted and is currently surrounded by covers and scaffolding. It is likely to be ready for unveiling in November. The museum is undertaking the task after sponsor Leon Howard of Warmco Properties funded the scaffolding and tenting needed to enable the work to go ahead.
