Woodford marks Vulcan 60th

The Avro Heritage Centre at Woodford, Cheshire, played host to a number of VIPs associated with the Avro Vulcan on September 9. The event was staged at the aerodrome to mark the 60th anniversary of the first flight of the Avro Type 698, the Vulcan prototype, on August 30,1952. Among those attending the celebration were Geoff and John Falk, sons of Vulcan test pilot Roly Falk, and Eric Verdon-Roe, grandson of Avro founder Alliott Verdon-Roe.
