Hello, and a warm welcome to your August edition o/FlyPast. I'm pleased to say that the airshou; season is now under way in the UK, and I attended the first of the three Dux/ord display weekends scheduled for this year. The Lueather remained on side for once, and there , were some great urarbirds and historic aircraft to be seen. The first show also sau; a splendid display by the Navy Wings-operated de Havilland Sea Vixen. It was sad to hear that shortly afterwards it suffered a mechanical failure and had to make a wheels-up landing at Yeovilton. Let's hope the damage is repairable so we can look forward to seeing that beautiful and distinctive twin tail in the skies once again.
