Dr Robert Plotting

All at FlyPast were greatly saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Dr Robert Pleming on February 2. Robert was the leader of the popular charity, Vulcan To The Sky Trust (VTST), and was instrumental in returning Avro Vulcan B.2 XH558 to flight. A man of vision and determination, his will to see this remarkable project through leaves a legacy that will be forgotten by no-one who ever witnessed an airshow appearance or flypast from the legendary delta. On a personal note, Robert was always a pleasure to speak to and work with, and was a great friend to this magazine, as he was to countless other organisations and individuals. In recent years he also devoted time (as co-chair) to the Heritage Working Group of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on General Aviation.
