"The Caribou isn't a stable aeroplane, flying it was like balancing on top of a pin and you couldn't take your hands off the stick," revealed former USAF pilot Jack Froelich. Hearing this, I was hooked! I knew Jack through his role as a volunteer guide at Tangmere Military Aviation Museum near Chichester, West Sussex. As well as being a talented artist with several of his murals adorning the museum's walls, Jack had flown de Havilland Canada C-7A Caribous in action across Vietnam.
