There's nothing quite like the annual SUN 'n FUN International Fly-in & Expo, which as always was held at Florida's Lakeland Linder International Airport this year. It's a massive undertaking, involving a team of more than 3,600 volunteers, and raises in excess of US $2m (£1.54m) for education and scholarship funding each year, enabling young people to fulfill their dreams of flight. A six-day production, SUN 'n FUN 2019 featured aerospace exhibitors, educational forums, aircraft static displays, showcase flyovers and airshow routines from Tuesday, April 2 through to Sunday, April 7. There were also night shows on the Wednesday and Saturday. Including everything from ultralights and helicopters to supersonic jets, 11,000-plus aircraft movements (take-offs and landings) were conducted at the airport during the six days.
