Looking at the DC-5 (Faulhaber) coreless motor

Grab that May 03 issue of FM that ran my last article. Look at the KP00 and N-20 graphs side by side; the RPM/volt curves seem very similar although they were plotted at slightly different scales to maximize the resolution of each. Plotting them on the same graph is the logical way to see how they and the torque and power really compare. See graph #1. Note that for the same rpm―say 8,500―the KPOO seems to produce more torque and power than the HV N-20.
