Hangar 9's F-22 Raptor PTS

By now most people involved with this hobby/sport of ours are at least familiar with the very successful PTS (Progressive Trainer System) introduced several years ago by Horizon Hobby (Hangar 9). This system was reviewed on these pages by myself and Grandson Eric in the July 2006 issue of FM. This system proved to be all it was advertised to be and as time has passed, each "upgrade" (engineered into the model) according to the PTS "plan" proved to be the perfect next step for the developing flyer. At this time, following the PTS suggestions, Eric has become a very confident R/C pilot and is ready to experiment with props, flaps, and increased control throws. This earlier (first) system brought him from complete novice to his first solo on the third flight, to a pilot that requires little, if any, hands-on supervision while he flies.
