According to Merriam-Webster, the definition for center of gravity is "The point at which the entire weight of a body may be considered as concentrated so that if supported at this point the body would remain in equilibrium in any position." Amazingly enough, the definition from NASA is less verbose: "The center of gravity is the average location of the weight of an object." C.G. is perhaps the single topic most often discussed with respect to aircraft setup and design.
