PBY-5 Catalina

It is said that fine wines improve with age. The same can also be said concerning the design of my PBY-5 flying boat. It came about this way. In 1967 I was flying a Navigator flying boat that had been designed by Don Mc-Govern and kitted by Berkeley. It flew well, was powered by an O.S. 10 glow engine, and had Galloping Ghost radio control. Before long I decided to eliminate the center pylon, and placed two of these engines in the normal twin-engined locations.
