摘要

This paper discusses noise distribution in a workplace by the use of software generated maps. Noise level distribution is calculated based on sound theory with the assumption that machines are modeled as point sources. Computer software calculates noise levels from input data. The sound properties of all noise producing office equipment are known values. The influence of the variation of machine positions was analyzed and it was concluded that noise reduction could be achieved by location management of office equipment in the work-space. The software was tested in a printing office. It is shown that for certain positions of the printing equipment the noise level is minimal. Computer modeling for noise reduction has crucial significance in such cases where the production lines are located in workplaces whereby a standard acoustic criteria has not been met and also where workers do not wear hearing protectors. The results of applied software and calculating procedure are available to machinery designers who construct new workplaces or modify the present production lines taking into account the aspect of noise level.
