Harbin Legacy line takes shape

Embraer China expects its joint venture with state-owned Avic to initially produce six Legacy 650 business jets per year, with eventual capacity for up to 20 aircraft. The joint venture, Harbin Embraer Aircraft Industry (HEAI), will convert its assembly line in Harbin, where it assembled the ERJ-145 regional jet from 2002 to 2011, into a Legacy 650 facility by 2013.
