Irkut's MC-21 narrowbody made a high-profile debut appearance at the show, with the manufacturer having all three of its flying examples present at the event. Lead aircraft FTV-1 performed a flying display in front of Russian President Vladimir Putin and the show's guest of honour, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on its opening. Its other aircraft were in the static display, with one example fitted with a two-class passenger cabin.
