MC-21 debut at Farnborough

At Farnborough Irkut will present the first demonstration of the MC-21 medium range aircraft mock-up. The mock-up will be around 20m in length. The mock-up includes a pilot cockpit, a part of the passenger cabin (business and economy class), and technical facilities (kitchen and lavatory). This provides an exact reproduction of the technologies of the above mentioned aircraft sections, displaying a new approach to reach maximum passenger comfort in a single aisle aircraft. The MC-21 hull is wider than its existing counterparts, extending the passengers' private space as well as increasing storage and cargo compartment volume. The aircraft will have large windows, a wide aisle, as well as larger size chairs to provide passenger comfort levels currently available on long-range aircraft only.
