Firm orders for commercial aircraft in April totalled only 18 units, and this activity was partially offset by five cancellations. The net total of 13 aircraft was 86 fewer than recorded in the same month of 2018, Cirium's Fleets Analyzer shows. However, it represented the first positive result for the sector since January, following two months of negative figures. Nigerian carrier Air Peace confirmed an order for up to 30 Embraer 195-E2 regional jets, unveiling the agreement at an African airline seminar organised by the airframer in Mauritius. Ten aircraft are under firm contract so far, with the agreement including purchase rights for another 20.
