摘要

Thanks to Africa's burgeoning wealth, a new jet set of investors and homegrown high-net-worths is embracing business aircraft in a region where huge distances and poor infrastructure can make getting around a challenge. But there is another side to the continent's high-flying private aviation sector-perhaps one that fits more with the image of an aid-reliant Africa that many of us recognise. Africa's economic resurgence is not benefiting all its 1 billion citizens equally, and private aircraft - most of them operated by UN agencies and other non-governmental organisations - play a crucial role in providing healthcare, emergency sustenance and other essential services to those who need it in troubled parts of the continent.
