Qantas 'will not take' last eight A380s on order

Qantas chief executive Alan Joyce has disclosed that the airline is unlikely to take delivery of the final eight Airbus A380s it has on order. "Our intention is not to take those aircraft," Joyce told a recent conference in Brisbane. Flight Fleets Analyzer shows that the airline operates 12 Rolls-Royce Trent 970-powered A380s, ranging from eight to five years old. The aircraft are presently used on services to Los Angeles, Dallas/Fort Worth, Dubai and London Heathrow. The type is also utilised on some services to Hong Kong during the peak Chinese New Year season.
