In-flight connectivity providers are promising big things for the business aviation market, with each player touting their solution as offering the fastest, most reliable "office in the sky" technology. Clearly evident at last week's EBACE convention, all players are battling hard for linefit status on business aircraft, and all are confident that demand is solid and growing. But the question for operators choosing satellite-based broadband services is not only whether to opt for Ku- or Ka-band connectivity, but whether to choose existing solutions or wait for technologies being prefaced with bold claims of superlative performance.
