The British Army's troubled Watchkeeper programme recently suffered another setback, with its unmanned air vehicle fleet having been grounded following a pair of accidents. Details of the crashes - the third and fourth involving the Elbit Systems/Thales-supplied Watchkeeper - were not released at the time by the Ministry of Defence. But speaking ahead of the DSEI exhibition in London on 11 September, Rear Adm Jon Pentreath, who oversees the surveillance UAV as chief of the UK's Joint Helicopter Command, said: "Watchkeeper is back in the air again."
