The purpose of this article is to highlight the role played by our Reservists and the Territorial Army (TA) in support of the regular Armed Forces in Afghanistan. We and a small number of others were privileged to visit our forces during the first week of November 2007 as part of the Ministry of Defence's Employers Abroad programme which is run in direct support of its SaBRE (Supporting Britain's Reservists and Employers) marketing campaign group, which stands for Supporting Britain's Reservists Employers.rnOur group of five, plus two journalists, were looking to see how our Reservists make a contribution and what we can do to better support them. This is a brief description of an eventful three days that we spent with our escorting officers.
