Finding the Evidence English Springer Spaniel, Paulo, is Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service's new cadaver search dog. He is 18 months old and was bred at Shotesham in Norfolk. Paulo has been with Norfolk FRS since the middle of July and is the first licensed cadaver search dog in the Fire Service, approved by the police to undertake this work. Paulo was selected by Northumbria Constabulary as a cadaver search dog, and given to handler Steve Polley as an untrained dog. Steve spent nine weeks training him with the Northumbrian Police, with training including a flooding scenario where 'bodies' had been swept away by floods and caught in overhanging branches, which the team had to find.
