The Millennium Dome in Greenwich is the centrepiece of the UK's millennium celebrations. It is the largest building of its kind in the world and will contain exhibits and attractions on a scale never seen before. Martin Kealy examines the comprehensive modelling techniques used in testing the means of escape and in the design of the smoke management system for this unique structure.
