A year of change

The beginning of a new year provides an opportunity to look ahead and, even at this early stage, it is clear that 2004 will be a watershed for the UK fire industry and the fire service. It will doubtless be an exciting 12 months, with many of the changes put in motion in 2003 - integrated risk management plans, the national framework for the fire and rescue service, the review of Approved Document B to the Building Regulations in England and Wales, and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order-coming to fruition.
